This is, I hope, complete and accurate through 2006. (Some 2007
releases are also included.) This will stay online and I will fix any
mistakes that are found.

Notes
On all recordings, Vandermark plays tenor saxophone, clarinet,
and/or bass clarinet. On some recent recordings (2002 or newer),
he also plays baritone saxophone.
I never finished adding recording dates and locations
and track listings. Most albums have this information,
but not all.
This a discography, not a sessionography. It does not include
not-officially-available material such as
radio broadcasts, audience recordings, and unreleased studio
sessions.

Notes: This group was founded and led (with
varying lineups over the years) by Hal Russell. Vandermark was a member for most of
1990, replacing Mars Williams during an extended absence. After
Russell died in 1992, the group continued under the leadership of
Williams; Vandermark rejoined and was a member until mid-1998. The
group played some concerts afterwards without him in 1998 and 1999.
