Oh, and if you have more than 22 minutes of multi-frequency music,
definitely use a DMM mastering process, as it eliminates one step in the
process of the lacquer to mother to plate to wax (I think). DMM = Direct To
Metal mastering, and Europadisk in the U.S. was the most-known here until
they went out of business. As far as I know Bob Weston in Chicago is the
only engineer in the states with a DMM cutter, and he's great and reasonably
priced. Another one is GZ Digital Media in the Czech Republic, who have been
around since right after WWII... they are very consistent and also
reasonable, even after freight. Don't deal with them directly, go through
Pirates Press in "Frisco, as they combine freight and make it cheaper. I was
amazed at the turnaround time.

RTI are good but overrated and snobs; if you order 300-only and have a
problem, they don't give a damn. This has happened to not just myself. And
don't ever spend $500 extra for 180gram vinyl! It does NOT matter how thick
vinyl is unless you're an idiot who leaves a disc in the sunlight and need
it be thick. Yeah it feels better in your hands but it's a waste, and it's
proven that weight matters not one bit once you're up to120 grams or so.
