[Jandek] Hasselt Saturday

Hasselt Saturday arrived yesterday. On my first listen, I couldn't
help but compare it unfavourably to Glasgow Monday: The Cell, one of
my very favourite Jandek recordings, which I've listened to countless
times. I was disappointed with the apparent hesitancy of the playing
as well as the monothematic lyrics. I missed other instrumentation.
But then, on a second lesson, I found it much more moving. The groping
hesitancy of the playing, and the variations on the speech-song of
Glasgow Monday - it has become more atonal, more experimental - seemed
of a piece. The vocals seem to draw upon those of 'The Grassy Knoll'
of Glasgow Sunday 2005, expanding the pallette. I'm looking forward to
many more listens.

We're still so far behind with the issuing of live recordings. Anyone
communicated with Corwood recently about this?
