I can't have anyone
And I can't be anything
And I'm sliding towards eternity
And things are making me dizzy

Life leaves its basic responsibilities at the door
I pick them up
And I tend to them
And then I'm back in the house

You can create more activities than there's time for
You can move so fast your surprised when it's time to die
I leave the table of acitivity and say, what's the use

What would happen if I closed all the doors and windows
And turned out the light
So I couldn't even stare

Maybe I could do something synthetic
And go live in the forest
And force a reaction to the elements
But that's already been done

You buy that house of despair
You own it and it owns you
You live there and you die there

I don't have to watch the numbers go by
I don't have to walk in the park
I put my affairs on pause
And I dissolve my particles

I don't want to party
And I don't want to work
I don't want to win or lose
I just want to be with you
