Why?
I haven't heard Tar Pet at all, but I discovered Islaja because of the 
Jandek comparison, but judging from the few songs I've heard, I don't hear 
much of a similarity. Great stuff, though.

I'd vote for Scout Niblett, especially the earlier material. Maybe not the 
Cars cover.
