The instrument Mick Flower plays *is* a shahi baaja (an electric
Indian dulcimer/auto-harp, and confirmed here:

for Corsano/Flower details); the 'Japanese banjo' name comes from
Klaus Dinger's credit on the Neu! albums as 'japan banjo', but as far
as I know it's essentially the same instrument if the keening drones
Neu! use are any gauge...excuse my ignorance in not giving the correct
name, but I've been listening to Neu! way too long!
