I 'acquired' (ahem) some of his stuff after seeing him on the Scorsese Dylan
documentary - mainly because he didn't remind me of Dylan (as was the
intention I assume), but more like our man. Certainly a very interesting
sound he makes, must have been very shocking and avant garde to a
fifties-sixties audience.

I think it was on this list that someone once mentioned a John Jacob Niles.
I can't remember if they were saying something like 'can't find anything of
his on CD', or that they were promoting its upcoming status.
If the latter, well, then, indeed, a CD of his stuff has come out - have it
on order.
