i just reread this when it came back on the list and i realize it was unclear.  i was not implying 
that the time periods of the album writing/recording and the pictures matched up.  just that the 
pictures probably more likely simply reflect what he chose to look like around the time the 
photo was taken, as opposed to being a specific or even self-conscious "look".  but for whatever 
reason, he then chooses to associate a certain picture with a certain album.
