[Jandek] Purity

[Amy Kelly]

Jandek is the one of the purest artists I've ever come across.  He put
out music in the face of cruel criticism and (apparently) in an
environment where creativity is frowned upon, and he did it
consistently for nearly thirty years, despite having no outside
influences, nearly no audience and (probably) losing money with every
album.  In the process, he's created a thing of beauty.  To me, that's
purity.
